Let me begin by welcoming you to our site. We live on 15 acres surronded by the Shawnee National Forest in Southern Illinois.

The area has many trails and areas for hunting, fishing, hiking and camping. The fact is people get lost, whether they wander off or just get turned around in the hills and valleys. We wanted a  good working dog to assist in finding these lost individuals.

With that in mind we purchased our first bloodhound. We wanted one  for search and rescue , but also wanted a show dog. Little did my wife know when she went to the airport  it would be the beginning of her for this  breed also.
